Transformational Writing
Why do we remember Aristotle or Austin, Milton or Locke, Shakespeare or Dr. Seuss? What did Stephen Covey do to change the world? How can C. S. Lewis be your best friend?
Transformational writing is more than just an essential skill for success in the 21st century, it is a vehicle to self-discovery and a hallmark of the kind of leadership that can last for generations and span the globe.
This class is designed to introduce transition to scholar and scholar students to the fundamentals of writing- from organized thinking and outlining to the process of self-discovery necessary to create written words that can change not only the world, but the individual himself.
Students will have weekly writing assignments to help them gain skills in grammar and punctuation, sentence structure, paper organization, effective communication, and transformational writing. Content will be drawn from concepts and outlines from the Institute from Excellence in Writing (IEW) and a writing program developed by the mentor.
